"After a difficult summer looking for a house, my husband and I were at the end of our ropes. We were using Westside Rentals and occasionally using Craigslist, but both of them were pretty dismal. Adding to this was the fact that we have a unique financial situation and it was really hard to find a place. My husband found The Rental Girls and I was blown away by the amount of pictures they post, especially Ellie and Zaya. Lucky us, those two girls cover the area we were looking for, Silverlake and Echo Park. We went to a few of Ellie's showings and found her very friendly and professional. None of those places worked out, but we kept on looking. Then I saw THE PLACE on Zaya's listing page. I texted her about it and she promptly replied and confirmed our appointment.

We really wanted the place and Zaya was very encouraging. The application process was easy and straight forward. Zaya kept us posted throughout the process via text message, which I really appreciated. She really helped us with our special situation and is obviously very thorough in checking references. The whole time I felt like I had someone on my side, not the somewhat antagonistic relationship I have had with other prospective landlords or rental agencies.

When we got the news that the place was ours, Zaya made an appointment with us for a comprehensive lease signing and really went through everything on the lease. I liked this because it gave us an opportunity to ask questions and clarify with a third party, something that's not always an option. At the walkthrough, we all went through the house with a checklist and Zaya took pictures of anything that was damaged. She later emailed them to us so there is a third party record of everything, therefore protecting our damage deposit. Wow.

We were living in Oakland at the time and had just returned from a trip down to LA to find our new home when I was desperately searching The Rental Girl for one last hope. We found a Rental Girl property in Echo Park that we really loved on Craigslist and called Zaya the next day. She immediately responded and we agreed to meet the following day to see the property.
